Melody (age 9)
What is the Bible Journaling Kit: The Bible Journaling Kit is a kit where you can journal in your Bible and write in it. It comes with a pouch that has Philippians 4:8 on it, stickers, and pens.
Like: I like that there are pens in it, and stickers.
Dislike: What I don’t like about it is that the Micron-type pen kinda bled through the paper, and that was regular paper, so I’m not sure how it will be on the Bible.
Recommend: I would recommend this for everyone who likes drawing and taking notes on the Bible.

Emily (age 7)
What is the Bible Journaling Kit: You journal in your Bible.
Like: I like that there are lots of colorful things. I also like 1 Corinthians 3:10-11.
Dislike: I don’t like that it doesn’t come with a Bible.
Recommend: I would recommend this to everyone single person even if they don’t have a Bible, hopefully someone will give them one.

I have seen so much amazing creativity out there with the journaling Bibles in recent years. I’m not quite as creative, but I think having some basic tools are super helpful to getting started if you want a different way to reflect on and share the Word of God. My favorite part of this kit is the little pouch that carries the items. The Bible verse is a great reminder of something wonderful to focus on through our day.

If you poke around the Internet for a little while, you will most likely stumble upon an ad for a subscription box. Subscription boxes are kits that are sent out periodically with goodies filled with fun stuff to unbox. There are subscription boxes for all kinds of things: clothes, kids’ crafts, meals, makeup, and pretty much anything else you can think of. So why not a subscription box of encouragement?

You will see hints of encouragement even when the box is delivered.

Loved+Blessed has two options: Shop allows you just purchase a box of your choice (or other products) and Join allows you order boxes by months. Each month, you will receive a box in the mail with lots of things to encourage you or a friend, if you are gifting the box  or items.

And there’s more encouragement as soon as you open the box and lift the lid!

When we first received the We Choose Virtues Parenting Cards, the girls immediately wanted to look at them and read through the descriptions. They mentioned right away that the virtues are like the Fruit of the Spirit! The information on the back are helpful to guide kids (and parents!) in working through the virtues, whether you focus on one each day or one each week.

We’ve been reading some of the information on the back now and then, and I like that we are always on the lookout for what virtues are demonstrated when we are watching a show. They are great teachable moments! The girls really enjoy the characters, and I think they make it a little more relate-able. There is a little phrase that go along with each of the characters.

While we would like to live out all the virtues, we decided to choose one we would focus on in the upcoming year. I think the girls were pretty spot-on on what they need to work on, and their parents are also still both a work-in-progress too. 😉
