Melody (age 9)
What the book is about: It’s about the Bible. Giggle. What’d you think?
Like: I like that it has inserts about key verses and themes.
Dislike: It can be a little longer (have more inserts) and have some activities.
What I learned: I learned about the Bible.
Recommend: I recommend it to everyone.

Emily (age 6)
What the book is about: It is the Holy Bible.
Like: It has fun pictures in it, and it’s fun.
Dislike: There’s not anything I don’t like.
What I learned: I learned how the Bible is important because you can learn about Jesus and his disciples.
Recommend: I recommend this for everybody!

Notes from Melody and Emily’s mom:
This is unrelated to the actual content of the Bible, but the first thing I noticed about this Bible was that it is fairly lightweight. The font does not look much smaller in size than in other bibles, but it does look like the spacing between lines are tighter than in other children’s bibles we own. From an educator’s point-of-view, this may not be the best fit for younger kiddos who are still learning to read. They need bigger font with more spacing. From a mom’s point-of-view, the weight does make it easier to carry around if you are bringing the bible to Sunday School or Bible club. I like the theme, and it is something most children will be drawn to. The inserts are a wonderful resource for children who are learning about the foundational truths of the Bible.

  1. My first bible was an NIV leather bound bible from my grandma. This bible looks awesome! We are currently loving the Jesus Storybook Bible.
