The No More Excuses Diet: 3 Days to Bust Any Excuse, 3 Weeks to Easy New Eating Habits, 3 Months to Total Transformation
Author: Maria Kang
Release Date: March 10, 2015
Publisher: Harmony
Pages: 304

In The No More Excuses Diet, Maria shares lots of foundational fitness and nutrition information that is helpful to anyone who is beginning their wellness journey. It is also helpful review for anyone who already has a workout and diet plan, to reevaluate if what they are doing is consistent with their current season of life. It is super helpful in getting a schedule with workouts that are simple but challenging at the same time. (Simple, meaning they are no-fuss and not a lot of equipment involved.) I’m not super knowledgeable about nutrition and superfoods, but I like that Maria included recipes and foods that are healthy, but not expensive to buy and hard to find. She has also included motivational words to encourage women to be role models in the choices they make, and she also counters any excuses someone might make for not putting some time and effort into becoming healthier.

About the Author

Maria Kang is a mother of 3 sons, a wife to a former Marine, a business owner of elderly residential care homes and a nonprofit founder, Fitness without Borders. Despite growing up on McDonalds, sugary cereals and frozen dinners, she developed a passion for fitness and nutrition when she witnessed her mother struggle with health-related diseases. In her twenties, Maria battled an eating disorder and began her popular blog in 2005. She gave birth in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and started the first free No Excuse Mom group in Elk Grove. In 2014 she started the No Excuse Mom movement, where she rallied thousands of mothers to begin hundreds of free workout groups in over 25 countries. In March 2015, she launched her first book with Harmony books, titled “The No More Excuses Diet” detailing a realistic meal plan, home workouts and her trademark goal-setting strategy of S.P.E.E.D., S.T.R.I.V.E. and S.C.O.R.E.
