This was a great read. I loved watching Full House growing up. Anyone else excited about Fuller House? I loved watching Dancing with the Stars. It was one of the few shows we watched streaming online since we don’t own a TV. I went into reading the book wanting to get some behind-the-scenes look at Dancing with the Stars, which I did, but also came out with so much more. If you follow Candace on social media, you know that she loves God and she loves her family. Even with her deeply-rooted faith, she went onto the show knowing she would need a team of prayer warriors and cheerleaders to help her through the journey.
I have been following Clare Smith for a long time before she collaborated with Candace on her other blog, and I love her focus on faith before fitness. The fitness part is important, but we are only as strong as our faith in the Lord. Candace mentions Clare and how she lead a group who prayed over Candace. I love both of them were all about giving Him the glory in all the things. The glitz and all that comes with being in the spotlight is usually a huge battleground for the enemy to come and bring followers down, and Candace sure did face some opposition, and it was wonderful to see her convictions shine through the choices she made on the show.
Sidenote: My girls are too little to read this one, but they liked looking at some of the photos in the book. There were some from Candace’s childhood, as well as fun photos from Dancing With The Stars.
