Casey’s Pizza has a 700-degree Farenheit Marsal deck oven onboard and is the Bay Area’s first pizza truck.  It now stops a block from my workplace once a week.  A group of us got to the truck right when it was setting up.  The oven was getting fired up and it took about 15 minutes waiting to get our pies.

Zoe’s Pepperoni – Tomato, Zoe’s Artisan Pepperoni, Aged Mozzarella, Fior di Latte, Grana Padano, Sea Salt, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (EVO)

Perfectly baked pizza with a tasty blend of ingredients and for the health-conscious…no nitrates in their pepperoni.  Crust was crisp and not too thin/not too thick (even though it might look that way in the picture).

Margherita – Tomato, Aged Mozzarella, Fior di Latte, Grana Padano, Basil, Sea Salt, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (EVO)

Yummy cheese pizza with some basil added on top.

Arugula – Wild Arugula, Red Onion, Aged Mozzarella, Fior di Latte, Grana Padano, Lemon Juice, Hot Chili Flake Oil, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (EVO)

Basically a delightful salad on top of a pizza.  You can taste a small kick from the hot chili flake oil to balance out the slight bitterness of the arugula.

***10/15/2014 Update***: Tried the Rapini daily special.  Perfectly baked goodness with a bit of spice from the chili flakes.

Rapini – Sauteed Broccoli Rabe (Rapini…a little like Chinese Broccoli), Garlic, Yellow Onion, Chili Flakes, Lemon Juice, Mozzarella, Grana Padano, Sea Salt, EVO

***5/21/2014 Update***: Tried the Salumi daily special.  It’s a good mixture of meat (salami) and veggies (arugula).

***7/24/2013 Update***: Tried a new pie Casey’s offered that is not on the regular special pie rotation: the BloodHound.  This new pizza was absolutely amazing!  It should be included in their special pie rotation.

BloodHound – Tomato, Basil, Aged Mozzarella, Zoe’s Artisan Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Red Onion

***6/12/2013 Update***: Tried the Popeye pizza special with some other co-workers.  The red pepper flakes added a bit of a kick to the spinach and creamy goat cheese.  Perfectly baked pizza!

Popeye – Roasted Spinach, Red Onion, Aged Mozzarella, Fior di Latte, Goat Chevre, Balsamic Vinegar, EVO, Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Red Pepper Flakes

***5/21/2013 Update***: Tried the Fennel Sausage pizza with some other co-workers.  The pizza sauce was a bit spicy on this one, but everything else about the pie was excellent.

Fennel Sausage – Berkshire Heritage Pork Sausage, Fennel, Anise, Fior di Latte, Aged Mozzarella, Red Onion, Grana Padano, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil (EVO)

Casey’s Pizza is top-notch.  A bonus for being the first truck serving pizza and for its location two blocks from where I work.  Casey’s always has 3 pizzas on the menu daily with the 3rd being a special that rotates.  They can also make your pizza vegan if you’re into that.

Oh….Casey’s Pizza recently started selling t-shirts.  Here’s a picture of Casey and I as I was their first t-shirt customer!
