Ebbett’s Good To Go is an East Bay truck that makes weekly stops at the TruckStopSF alley. I first had them a couple of years ago at an Off The Grid: Civic Center event. They’re now a seasoned food truck run by two moms. Thumbs up from a fellow parent of kiddos!
Cuban (Signature Sandwich): LOTS of overpowering pulled pork and well-seasoned with slice of ham and gruyere cheese. The jalapeno relish added some heat. This was served on a toasted and crusty ACME roll.
Ordered an Ebbett’s Pickle for $1 which was brined well and made spicy. However, the pickle wasn’t crunchy like a Vlasic.
Also had to get some River City Root Beer to compliment the meal.
Muffuletta: Roasted Niman Ranch Ham, Provolone Cheese, Salami, Mortadella, Mayo, and tasty Olive Salad on ACME focaccia bread.
The Salted Caramel Brownie Bite was sweet and salty, yet rich and decadent.
Also had Empire Cola which was a great tasting “real” coca-cola equivalent.
Chicken Torta: Tasty Petaluma Farms pulled chicken breast with well-blended mix of cilantro pesto, avocado spread, cheddar cheese, and salsa verde (with spicy jalapeno) on a crusty Acme torpedo roll.
Had to try some Boyland Bottling Co. Creme Soda as well. I love Ebbett’s selection of small-shop sodas.
Ebbett’s also exclusively uses ACME bread on all their sandwiches. Good stuff.
