Senor Sisig (veteran food truck) has been showing up at Monday’s weekly Off The Grid: St. Mary’s Square so I tried a couple of more items from the truck. As usual, there’s a long line wherever the truck goes.
California Sisig Burrito: Shoestring fries in the burrito with peppery Sisig pork and guacamole with pica de gallo. It’s good. It’s filling. And there’s fries in the burrito!
Sisig Tacos: Well-seasoned/marinated sisig pork and chicken. “Silog”-ed (add a fried egg) each taco for $1 more. Also, took some hot Sriracha sweet chili sauce to go.
Ube Alfajores: Delicious butter cookies with powdered sugar and purple yam filling.
Royal: Filipino Orange Soda. Think Fanta.
***Update 12/19/2013***: Tried the Tuesday/Thursday special: Tosilog Burrito. This would be Filipino Sweet Pork, Adobo Garlic Rice, Fresh Tomatoes, and a Fried Egg. It’s optionally served with a side of peppered vinegar and I also grabbed a side of hot Sriracha sweet chili sauce. The Filipino Sweet Pork is like Chinese Cha Siu and you don’t have to fork out an additional dollar for the fried egg.
