This is one of restaurants within a block of my workplace. It’s actually on the same block as my workplace, but on the other side of the block. It’s also advertised as Gourmet French Takeout. The place only has seating for 14 in which half of that is on bar stools lining a marble counter.
Salade Nicoise – Generous amount of seared ahi tuna, Nicoise olives, hard-boiled egg, fingerling potatoes, green beans, Arugula with buttery olive oil based dressing. The potatoes gave the salad an interesting texture.
Gnocchi with Short Ribs – Crisp outside and tender short-rib meat, carrots, and potato-looking gnocchi. There was a lot of food or maybe it was a heavy dish because of the gnocchi. A creamy horseradish sauce complimented the short ribs well.
Organic Quinoa Salad – Tons of quinoa (of course, being the main ingredient of the salad), cut-up asparagus, whole kernel corn, cherry tomatoes (halved), couple of shredded carrots, some lettuce, and a creamy roasted garlic dressing to boot. If you don’t know what quinoa is, it has a couscous-like texture and is high in protein. It’s edible seeds from a grain-like crop.
