The Mommy Diaries: Finding Yourself in the Daily Adventures

themommydiaries_coverI received this book as a Christmas gift from MIL. It is a compilation of stories from journals of mothers. The editor Tally Flint compares the journey to climbing a mountain. The chapters discuss identity, growth, relationships, help, perspective, and hope. At the end of each chapter there are questions for reflection and challenge. (You can read the questions over at my “mommy” blog.) The book was an easy read and tugged at my heart during some points. I could relate to some of the stories shared in the pages, and others were inspiring. Scripture verses and blurbs in the sidebars spoke to me almost directly at times about things I’m facing at the moment as a mother and wife.
