Last month for our date night, Joyce and I meandered into this small and local creperie.  Crepes de Art sells both sweet (dessert) and savory (meal) crepes.  They also have some local artwork on the wall; hence, part of the restaurant’s name.  We ordered two savory crepes, a strawberry Italian soda, and two sweet crepes to go (so the kids could try it too).

The first crepe we ordered was the salmon, artichokes, capers, basil, spinach, and cheese.  It came with two side sauces: one that was red bell pepper based and the other was spinach(?) based.  The capers made this crepe really stand out.

The second crepe we ordered was caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, and we added chicken.  Of course, I’m a sucker for anything with sun-dried tomatoes.  It came with a sauce that was a bit tangy.

The two sweet crepes to go….well…..we shouldn’t have taken them to go.  The whipped cream just melts all over the place and yeah…..the crepes became a mess.  It’s better to eat them on-site.  We ordered a blueberry/honey crepe and a strawberry/banana/nutella/sweet milk crepe.  It’s hard to review these two since the flavors and everything became a watery mess from the melted whipped cream.  Maybe we’ll go back and order some sweet crepes and eat them there for a thorough review.
